William K. Fitch Scholarship for Undergraduates at University of Wisconsin – Madison, 2012/13 USA

The Department of History offers the William K. Fitch Scholarship for the 2012-13 Academic Year. This scholarship provides tuition and fees, at the in-state level, for one academic year (non-renewable). One Fitch Scholarship will be awarded annually. Both out-of-state and in-state students may apply, though out-ofstate students receiving the scholarship will receive a remission of their out-of-state tuition and fees equal to instate tuition and fees. Applicants will be considered on the basis of a combination of financial need and academic/intellectual merit (financial need will be determined by the Office of Financial Aid Office.

-Submission of a FAFSA to the Office of Financial Aid -3.3 GPA in the major and 3.0 GPA overall. -Senior standing before the beginning of the scholarship year. -Declaration of the history major and a completed concentration in US history (Though preference will be given to History Majors with a concentration in U.S. History, History Majors with other concentrations who have completed course work that offers comparative & transnational perspectives on U.S. History will also be considered.. -Completion of two short essay
