William Chick Doctoral Scholarship In Architecture, 2015

William Chick Scholarship Trust is awarding one or more doctoral scholarships to undertake doctoral program at either the University of Auckland School of Architecture or an approved institution overseas. Scholarships shall be awarded (depending on the availability of funding) as a stipend for a period of up to three years and will be of the value of up to $22,000 pa. The basis of selection shall be academic merit. The application deadline is 1st December 2014..  William Chick desired to give students an opportunity to broaden their studies in New Zealand and overseas and be able to bring the knowledge and experience into their practice of architecture in New Zealand. The main purpose is to assist students undertaking a course of study for a professional qualification in the practice of Architecture to undertake postgraduate study at either the University of Auckland School of Architecture or an approved institution overseas..  Scholarships are available to undertake doctoral program at either the University of Auckland School of Architecture or an approved institution overseas.

Who can apply to this scholarship?  To take up and be paid the Scholarship, the recipient must have paid the fees or have arranged to pay the fees, for full
· time enrollment at the University of Auckland, or be enrolled at an approved overseas institution for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy. The Scholarship is tenable by students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand, who meet the requirements for entry into Doctoral programmes and who are graduates of a professional qualification in architecture from a New Zealand institution situated north of Huntly.
Benefits of the scholarship: One or more scholarships shall be awarded (depending on the availability of funding) as a stipend for a period of up to three years, and will be of the value of up to $22,000 pa. Additional funds may be available as a one-off payment to support travel overseas and equipment, on application to the Scholarships Office and the recommendation of the supervisor and Selection Committee.
