The 2010 edition of the programme has allowed several South African senior researchers to conduct joint projects with research institutes based in France. In view of the interest expressed in the programme by partner institutions, the French government is pleased to open applications for 2011. The French government is offering five fellowships allowing successful applicants to undertake a joint research project of a duration of up to ten weeks in collaboration with a French research institute. Fellowships include a 2000€ monthly allowance, a roundtrip airflight ticket, visa fees and full medical and social insurance.
Requirement Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have experience in programme/project management coupled with a substantial publication record. Applications from researchers with a Master’s qualification, having an extensive publication record and relevant experience, will also be considered.
Given the bilateral nature of the partnership, preference will be given to South African applicants. However, all candidates meeting the requirements are encouraged to apply.
