Research Fellowship in Theoretical Particle Physics at University of Melbourne, Australia

Professor Tony Gherghetta has been successful in obtaining an Australian Research Council Federation Fellowship. This project involves theoretical work in particle physics within the standard model and beyond the standard model. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and independent researcher who can work at an internationally competitive level in particle model building, phenomenology and general theoretical particle physics.

-A PhD or equivalent in a relevant area of theoretical particle physics. – A demonstrated aptitude for research with a sound record of publication, commensurate with experience and opportunities. -Research experience in theoretical work within the standard model of particle physics and/or beyond the standard model of particle physics. -Demonstrated ability to work both independently and closely with others. -Demonstrated ability to work to a schedule and to be able to meet pre-agreed deadlines. -Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
