Postdoctoral Position in Industrial Foundations at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark 2012

Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant postdoc within the research area of Industrial Foundations at the Department of International Economics and Management, Center for Corporate Governance.The combination of non-profit and for profit poses many interesting opportunities for research. Corporate governance is “the control and direction of companies” by ownership, boards, incentive systems and other mechanisms. The CBS center is a forum for the advancement of knowledge in this area. It is truly interdisciplinary comprising researchers in finance, economics, accounting, law, management and international business. We have close links to the Danish business community and aim to create value by improving corporate governance in practice.

The applicant must hold a PhD or the equivalent. In assessing applications, particular emphasis will be placed on research potential and previous research relevant to the job description. The applicant will need to have strong quantitative skills, the ability to work with large datasets and as a solid grounding in economics, finance or management research. The ability to present research to a wider audience is also important.
