Postdoctoral Fellowship in Functional Nanostructures and Characterisation at University of Queensland, Australia

This appointment will be in the School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering at The University of Queensland, working in the development of semiconductor nanostructures for energy applications where characterisation using advanced electron microscopy will be carried out. This project is supported as part of Professor Jin Zou’s Australian Research Council Discovery Project. The School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering maintains a world-class reputation and is at the cutting-edge of engineering education, research and expert consultation in a number of fields.

The successful applicant must have a PhD in field related to Materials Science/Engineering, Physics or Chemistry with solid knowledge and practical skills in advanced electron microscopy. You will need to have fundamental knowledge of evolution of nanostructures and principle of device assembly. Experience in carrying out high quality research in the field of nanoscience and/or nanotechnology as evidenced by high impact journal publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals will be highly regarded. You will have ability to work under minimum supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skill
