Who can apply to this scholarship? The postdoctoral fellow will be part of the research group related to question 3 The group studies the chemical and dynamical effects in the neutral atmosphere caused by high
· energetic particle precipitation. Particle energy are primarily estimated by employing data from several satellites td NOAA / POES. The atmospheric effects host observed from both ground stations and a number of different satellites (eg ENVISAT, TIMED, ODIN, AURA, etc.).
· The successful candidate must have achieved a Norwegian doctorate in space physics, atmospheric physics or a related field, or equivalent education abroad, or have presented the dissertation for assessment by the application deadline. It is a prerequisite that the dissertation has been approved before appointment is granted.
Benefits of the scholarship: Salaries start at level 57 (code 1352/LR24.1) by appointment. Further promotion occurs after service seniority in the position (at grade 57-65). Of particularly highly qualified applicants, it may be appropriate to consider a higher salary.
