PhD Scholarships for UK/EU and International Students in UK, 2014

University of Hull is offering PhD scholarships for UK/EU and international students. Scholarships are provided in areas within the research themes and some including areas. Applicants will be expected to hold a minimum of a UK upper second class Honours degree or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline. Full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarship will include fees at the ‘home/EU’ student rate and maintenance (£13,726 in 2014/15), subject to final confirmation) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress.. The University of Hull has an established reputation for first class research in both international maritime studies and global security studies. The University is home to the Wilberforce Institute for Slavery and Emancipation (WISE) but also to Blaydes House which houses an important maritime collection and hosts the Maritime Historical Institute. The university is also home to the Logistics Institute. As part of the Strategic Plan, the University is undertaking research that examines the continuing development of the international economy and the growing concerns surrounding global security.
