Research involves experimental design, fabrication of sub-micron devices, fast electrical manipulation and measurement in a dilution refrigerator, data analysis and scientific writing. Candidates should have strong background in physics at the master’s level, with advanced coursework in quantum mechanics and condensed matter physics, as well as significant experimental experience. The successful applicant will be enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen. The Ph.D. program, in addition to the project work, comprises participation in courses or international PhD schools and some activity as teaching assistant. Applicants must have completed at least one year of a relevant M. Sc. Degree at the time of start of the appointmentBenefits of the scholarship:
Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Academics Central organization. The salary depends on seniority, as agreed between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Currently, starting salaries are about 25,000 DKK (Euro 3,330) per month for PhD students – plus pension.
