PhD Research:Methane Oxidation Pathways at Oxic-anoxic Boundaries in Lakes, Switzerland

Eawag is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate for a newly established Swiss National Science Foundation project (Methane oxidation pathways at oxic-anoxic boundaries in lakes). The goal of this project is to understand different methane oxidation pathways in lacustrine systems of Europe, Africa and North America.

-Students with a background in either geochemistry, environmental science or analytical chemistry who have a strong interest in aquatic biogeochemistry and who are seeking to work in a highly multidisciplinary working environment are encouraged to apply. -The student will be located in Kastanienbaum directly at Lake Lucerne and will work closely together with people at ETH (Zurich).
