PhD Research Fellowship in Medical Sciences at University of Oslo, 2012 Norway

The Biotechnology Centre at the University of Oslo is a centre for molecular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics within the University of Oslo. The centre is devoted to research with an overall vision to address cell signalling mechanisms relevant to disease. The Functional Genomics and Molecular Imaging Laboratory is investigating amino acid transporters and their functional roles in the recycling of neurotransmitters, pH regulation and cellular metabolism.

We seek a person with strong academic background and with practical experience in biochemistry, molecular biology and cell culture. Candidates with prior experience in characterization of genetically modified mice and confocal microscopy will be preferred. Highly motivated individuals holding a MSc or equivalent and who enjoys working in an international and interactive environment are welcome to apply
