PhD Position at The Joint Research Centre’s Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements in Geel, Belgium

The project aims at developing quality assurance methods in analyses using isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) for the assessment of the ratio of stable isotopes in a variety ofenvironmental pollutants. This requires close collaboration within the CSI: Environment project with the researchers performing these analyses.

person with interests in analytical chemistry and metrology. Candidates should have a master certification in the area of natural sciences, preferentially analytical chemistry including metrology or quality management in analytical chemistry with a strong background in organic analysis and water analysis, including instrumental techniques such as GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, etc. Experience with statistical data evaluation and/or reference material production would be an advantage. Due to the international character of the project, excellent English communication skills are required.
