Foundation Grant for Women Graduates by FfWG, 2012/13 UK

The amount of the Foundation Grant will be decided by FfWG, but normally will not exceed £6,000. All our grants are offered on a needs basis and therefore not all grants will be for £6,000.The criteria are the proven needs of the applicant and their academic calibre.  For the academic year 2012 – 2013 grants will only be given for a postgraduate doctoral award e.g. PhD or D.Phil . They are not likely to exceed £6,000.

-Women graduates from Britain and overseas are eligible to apply They must be studying in the academic year 2012 2013 in Great Britain for a postgraduate doctoral award e.g. PhD, D.Phil. -Any subject or field of study will be considered There is no upper age limit The aim of the scheme is to help students complete their programme and so, in the 2012 round applications will only be accepted from students intending to complete and submit their thesis before the end of the academic year 2012 2013. -Evidence of ability to pay fees is required The competition is open to both full-time and part-time students. -The Grants will be a contribution only towards the living expenses of one year’s academic study or researchFfWG offers Foundation Grants to help women graduates with their living expenses (not fees) while registered for study or research at an approved institution of higher education in Great Britain . -The criteria are the proven needs of the applicant and their academic calibre.
