First Call of the Master Scholarships of the International Sophie Germain Program, France

The Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH) is offering one or two year scholarships for talented students applying for a master position in Mathematics in one of its member institutions (the Departments in Applied or Pure Mathematics of the École polytechnique, École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, and Paris Sud 11 University in Orsay). Priority will be given to M2 applications but two year applications starting from the M1 will be considered. The stipend is 10,000 euros per year. Moreover the FMJH will support travel expanses (one round-trip ticket, economy class from your residence). Laureates won’t have to pay any tuition fees and will benefit from the French health assurance system (Sécurité Sociale). The FMJH will provide housing in students dormitories (the cost will be directly deduced from the scholarship). The FMJH will also provide french courses and assistance at the arival in France. The FMJH’s scholarships are devoted to support a specific Master in which the laureates will be automatically registered provided they give the necessary relevant administrative information in due time. In particular, laureates who would like to change their mind by applying to another Master, even in one of the FMJH’s partners, will have to resign from the scholarship except explicit agreement of the FMJH. They cannot combine their scholarship with other remuneration.

The scholarships are open to all students currently studying abroad or for foreign students studying outside the FMJH’s institutions (see the application webforms for the details). The selection process will be based on the academic quality of the transcript and recommendation letters.
