Faculty of Education Start Smart Entry Level Undergraduate Scholarships in New Zealand, 2015

University of Auckland is awarding undergraduate scholarships for full-time enrollment in the first year of an undergraduate degree (including conjoint degrees) in the Faculty of Education. There are two types of scholarships available: Start Smart Merit Scholarships and Start Smart City of Sails Scholarships. Up to twenty scholarships will be available of the value up to $2,500 per annum and awarded to students enrolled and located at the Epsom campus, Manukau Institute of Technology or Tai Tokerau campus. The remaining six scholarships will each be of the value of up to $5,000 per annum and include guaranteed university accommodation for students who live beyond the Auckland metropolitan area and who are enrolled and located at the Epsom campus. The application deadline is 31st January 2015.. The Scholarships were established in 2011 and are financed by the Faculty of Education. These Scholarships may also be referred to as Merit Scholarships and the City of Sails Scholarships in promotional material.The main purpose of the Scholarships is to support and encourage excellence of students entering their first year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Education, at The University of Auckland.. Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate program.

Who can apply to this scholarship? To take up and be paid the Scholarships candidates must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full
· time enrollment, in the first year of an undergraduate degree (including conjoint degrees) in the Faculty of Education, at the University of Auckland. The Scholarships are tenable by students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
Benefits of the scholarship: Up to twenty-six Scholarships will be awarded annually, each for a period of one year. Of these, up to twenty Scholarships will each be of the value of up to $2,500 per annum and awarded to students enrolled and located at the Epsom campus, Manukau Institute of Technology or Tai Tokerau campus. The remaining six scholarships will each be of the value of up to $5,000 per annum and include guaranteed university accommodation for students who live beyond the Auckland metropolitan area and who are enrolled and located at the Epsom campus.
