Doctoral Research Position in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at Saarland University, 2012 Germany

The doctoral researcher will work on a research project investigating memory processes and neuroendocrinological factors which influence intrusive memories after traumatic events under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tanja Michael and Prof. Dr. Axel Mecklinger. A multidisciplinary study program, including courses on the theoretical background of the research projects and practical training in behavioral and neuroscientific research tools, will complement the realization of the doctoral project. Separate funding (i.e. allowances for external research visits) in addition to the high-level scholarships offer the unique opportunity of participating in a stimulating foreign cultural and scientific context via research visits of up to several months at the partner institute in China. Additional funding is provided to attend several national and international conferences.
