In 2012, APF will also be offering a $3,000 scholarship for a talented woman to help launch her career in the profession of psychology. This scholarship is made possible by the generosity of the Friedman-Klarreich Family Foundation. In conjunction with the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology, APF awards nine additional $1,000 scholarships.

If a student is currently enrolled in a terminal master’s program, the student must intend to enroll in a PhD program. Special attention will be given to applications from students who, at the time of application, are within the first two years of graduate study in psychology. The purpose of the scholarship program is to assist graduate students of psychology with research costs associated with the master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation.
