Media Studies is defined here as the interdisciplinary study of the modern media, their form and content, institutions and use, their political, social, cultural and aesthetic contexts, using approaches from the Social Sciences and the Humanities. Journalism and political communication should be regarded as an area of Media Studies that includes research on political journalism, strategic communication and political rhetoric as well as on political communication as conditioned by the institutional and cultural environment.The successful candidate is expected to become part of the research environment of the department and contribute to its development. Who can apply to this scholarship?
· PhD with a specialization in journalism and/or political communication
