There are 10 projects available for application divided by the following research areas: Biochemistry & Biophysics, Cell & Developmental Biology, Ecology & Evolution, Molecular & Cellular Medicine and Plant Biology.
Who can apply to this scholarship? Academic requirements
· Students applying for this research programme should normally have obtained an upper second class honours degree (or equivalent).
· The studentships are available to UK and EU students who meet the UK residency requirements.
Benefits of the scholarship: The studentship is fully funded by the Department of Biology and covers: (i) a tax-free annual stipend at the standard Research Council rate (estimated £14,002 for 2015-2016), (ii) research costs, and (iii) tuition fees at the UK/EU rate.
