2014 Research Excellence Scholarships in Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences, Australia

Applications are invited for full-time research excellence scholarships in the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences at Macquarie University. Applicants must have a strong track record in organic chemistry and/or molecular biology at the Masters level. Applications are welcome from both domestic and international candidates. The 2014 MQRES full-time stipend rate is $25,392 pa tax exempt for 3 years. The application deadline is 31st August, 2014.. Two full-time Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarships (MQRES) are available in the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences for suitably qualified prospective PhD candidates to work with Dr Andrew Piggott on his ARC Future Fellowship project (FT130100142).. Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD research program at Macquarie University.
The research areas of this scholarship are: Scholarships are awarded in the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences for a project on Discovery of new antibacterial drug targets using chemical proteomics.
Who can apply to this scholarship?
· To be eligible for a PhD scholarship applicants are expected to have a record of excellent academic performance, especially in the research Masters degree, and additional relevant research experience and/or peer
· reviewed research activity, awards and/or prizes in line with the University’s scholarship rating guidelines.
