2012 The Exeter-Brown PhD Scholarship in High Frequency Spintronics at University of Exeter, UK 2012



One 3-year fully funded postgraduate studentship at the University of Exeter (Fees, maintenance allowance and travel bursary).Conventional electronics operates by manipulating charged particles called electrons through the application of electric fields.  However the electron also possesses “spin”, as if it was spinning about an axis through its centre, and behaves as a tiny magnet.

-Undergraduate degree from Brown University of the University of Exeter -Overal GPA of 3.5 or above / 2:1 or above -Research interests are suitable for co-supervision by Professors Rob Hicken (Exeter) and Gang Xiao (Brown)
