2012 Civil Engineering Doctoral Research Scholarship in Concrete Technology and Behaviour, Australia

A unique opportunity for fully funded research at a doctoral level has arisen at Curtin University, Department of Civil Engineering. The Departments seeks an exceptional candidate who will be able to demonstrate academic excellence, research capability and English language communication skills – both oral and written. The scholarship provides for a living allowance and fees, where applicable, for full time study for a period of three years. The research candidate should align their proposal with current staff research interests and capabilities, namely, the fields of concrete materials and structural behaviour, geopolymer or sustainable concrete technologies.

-IELTS (International English Language Testing System) – Writing and Speaking 6.0 – Reading and Listening 6.0 – Overall Band Score 6.5† – A higher degree by research differs from other postgraduate degrees in that at least two-thirds of the study program must involve research. – Although Heads of Enrolling Areas may require some coursework units to be completed, the main part of the work will be in the form of a thesis written under the guidance of a supervisor and associate supervisor(s). -Applications for admission to a doctoral or master higher degree by research program can be made at any time of the year.
