2012-2013 The Ruth Taylor Scholarship Awards, USA

United Way is proud to work with the Westchester County Department of Social Services and the Urban League to offer the Ruth Taylor Scholarship Awards to aspiring public service professionals. The Ruth Taylor Award Fund, established in tribute to Ruth Taylor upon her retirement as Commissioner of Public Welfare of Westchester County and in recognition of her nearly four decades of outstanding service to the County in the field of social welfare and health, provides annual grants for scholarship awards, for tuition or maintenance, or both.

Applicant must meet two criteria: -Be a legal resident of United States and Westchester County Proof of permanent residency is required -please submit proof of Social Security Number PLUS one of the following: a) Copy of valid driver’s license (with Westchester address) b) Copy of current voter registration card (with Westchester County address) c) Utility bill or lease/mortgage document with recent date (with Westchester address) -Be attending graduate school full-time in the field of social work or public health

Scholarship Deadline: July 6, 2012
